  1. greetings: This is a wonderful site, excellent resource for sewing machine repair and troubleshooting, I have a strange problem, I have a janome mc 10001 just upgraded to 10001. Now it seems when in embroidery mode the tension is not working, but it sews beautifully in regular mode, The tension seemed to work before the upgrade? I took off the top of the tensioner and when I set the tension on the screen the wheel doesn’t move, only moves when in regular sewing mode. So I am not sure what is wrong, when in embroidery mode the it birds nest under the fabric, and the tension settings don’t seem to work? Also reloaded the new software several times to be sure. Is there some type of something I can repair it. Also the thread is in the tension discs and changed from embroidery mode to regular sewing mode to be sure and back. I’m going to remove the top cover and re clean the connectors for the tension unit. Is there separate wiring on the tension unit for the embroidery mode? Any input would be really helpful.
    thanks againĀ
